My photographs document the continuously changing dynamics within my family and home in the aftermath of our father passing away. I utilize the camera as a tool to organize and comprehend ongoing events and my family’s experience navigating through them.

I depict passing moments such as visiting my parents’ hometown for the first time without my father, Christmas at my aunt’s house, and the process of getting our childhood home ready to sell. While many moments may seem mundane, the photographs are instilled with meaning: my oldest brother fixing things around the house, driving around with my youngest brother as he sings his favorite songs, and my mom sitting after a panic attack.

Looking back at the images allows me to reflect on these events and how they line up with the evolving relationships and ultimately my own presence within my family.
